Vikings 66th Anniversary 1960 2026 Vikings Thank You For The Memories Shirt – A tribute to Minnesota football legends

Minnesota was granted the right to form a professional football team on January 28, 1960, before beginning play in 1961. Therefore, the period 1960–2026 represents 66 years since the team’s founding.

The team opened its 2026 training camp in late July with roster additions, a contract extension for guard Brian O’Neill, and preparations for the season beginning with a game against Green Bay on September 13th. Adrian Peterson’s Hall of Fame induction is also scheduled for Week 9 home game against Buffalo.
